Jessica L. James Rotole

Jessica L. James Rotole is a partner in the Miller, Zimmerman & Evans law firm. Jessica’s legal practice has focused on family law since 2009. Serving families is Jessica’s passion. She seeks to find solutions that not only achieve her client’s goals, but that also serves the best interests of the children and creates opportunities for each member of the family to heal, grow, and ultimately thrive as they move through and beyond the legal process. Jessica practices family law with compassion and empathy, and applies a wholistic approach that considers the legal, financial and emotional wellbeing of all involved.

Jessica serves in multiple roles, including mediator, collaborative attorney, child advocate and litigator. In all roles, Jessica works hard to fully educate her clients about the process and underlying laws and rules, to clearly frame the issues, and to explain implications of decisions. Her goal is to achieve a resolution that maximizes the family’s resources and opportunities for the future to the further extent possible, whether through settlement or litigation. Jessica serves her clients through assertive, compassionate and goal-oriented advocacy in all settings.

Jessica is a mother of two and lover of nature, reading, traveling, and movies. She spends time with her family hiking, camping and boating in Iowa and exploring the Colorado Rockies. An Iowa native and Hawkeye through-and-through, Jessica earned B.A.s in Communications and American Studies (2001) and her J.D. (2005) at the University of Iowa. She served as a Judicial Clerk in Iowa Judicial District 8A, City Prosecutor in the City of Colorado Springs, CO, and practiced family law in the Denver, CO area and throughout Iowa. Jessica is licensed in the States of Iowa and Colorado. She is a member of the Iowa Bar Association, Polk County Bar Association, Polk County Women Attorneys, Lincoln Inne of Court, Iowa Collaborative Divorce, Colorado Bar Association, and Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
